CANDOMBLÉ

Candomblé is an Afro-Brazilian cultural tradition, whose music is distinguished by its polyrhythmic rhythms, the use of percussion instruments and ceremonial chants that encourage connection with the forces of nature. Its main purpose is spiritual and ritualistic, but it has also greatly influenced popular music in Brazil.
This ensemble is performed with atabaques (Lê, Rumpi, Rum) and agogô (Gã).
