
Eliana Zarabozo, born on 17 November 1988 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an outstanding percussionist and currently a member of the renowned group La Bomba de Tiempo.
With a diverse trajectory, Eliana stood out as director and founder of the Comparsa and School of Candombe de Mujeres y Disidencias "La Bolten".
Her participation in musical projects such as Yamile Burich & Ladies Jazz, Cafundó, and the Ensamble Bonaerense del Instituto Cultural de La Plata, demonstrate her versatility and ability to adapt to different styles and genres.
Eliana has perfected her knowledge of Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, Rioplatense and Afro-Peruvian percussion with renowned masters such as Ariel Perez, Sergio Pesse, Mario Gusso, Jhonny Nevez Pinto and Marco Campos, among others. His experience includes collaborations with outstanding artists and groups such as Inés Cuello, Daniel Maza, Pan Percusión, Cumbia Nena, Orquesta Típica di Pascuale and Lorena Astudillo, among others.
In addition to her diverse career as a performer, Eliana has dedicated herself to the teaching and transmission of Afro-Latin percussion techniques and rhythms. She teaches both in Argentina and in international destinations such as Spain (Barcelona and Madrid) and Switzerland (Zürich). She shares her knowledge of candombe drums, tumbadoras, Peruvian cajón, bongo, candomblé atabaques, bombo legüero and accessories.
